Leishan Pace
Principal Psychologist

Leishan studied at the University of Queensland before returning to her home, Mackay. She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists, is a Board Approved Supervisor and a trained Circle of Security Parenting facilitator. Leishan has worked in this industry for ten years, across public, private, school and NGO sectors. Leishan has a keen interest in working with OCD, anxiety disorders, and perinatal mental health. Leishan’s empathetic, creative and one-size-doesn’t-fit-all approach has helped countless children, young adults and families heal and live their best possible life. Leishan focuses her interventions using CBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, Attachment-focused therapies and play-based interventions. She enjoys working with children under the age of 12 and adults in the perinatal phases. She has a strong interest in conducting psychological assessments.

Leishan is passionate about the psychology industry as well as supporting the development of the allied health industry in Mackay. She is focused on ensuring that early career psychologists and students have access to high quality and ethical training and supervision. As well as this, Leishan dedicates many hours to pro-bono consultancy in local schools and within perinatal mental health.

Ciara Armstrong
Provisional Psychologist

Ciara graduated from James Cook University and returned to Mackay to live locally with her family. Ciara has been a keen member of the team since 2020. Ciara is passionate about supporting others who are going through life’s challenges. Ciara has a keen interest in working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. Ciara is interested in working with Autistic individuals, anxiety, postnatal depression/anxiety and parenting issues. Ciara also has a passion for providing psycho-educational based programs and can be sough after to facilitate education programs to services, parents and schools. She has a kind and dedicated personality which shows through her work and family life.

 

Shaye Wooderson
Provisional Psychologist

Shaye graduated from Central Queensland University with First Class Honours with a Bachelor of Psychological Science. Shaye works with her clients to provide skills-based interventions, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, counselling and parenting support. Shaye is also a certified PEERS (adolescent and adults social communication skills) facilitator. Shaye works with clients to reduce emotional regulation problems, improve behaviour, build social skills and improve family communication. Shaye is skilled in working with neurodivergent clients, clients with anxiety and clients with emotional dysregulation.
